10 years ago, with the encouragement of former Dragon’s Den judge, Arlene Dickinson, British-Canadian actress, Karen David, and her mother, Jenny, started doing pop up stores all over downtown Toronto, selling samples from showrooms, vintage and one off jewelry pieces from London, England, where Karen spent the past 14 years.

Together, Karen and Jenny, along with Karen’s stylist friends, curated items for each pop up shop, which originally was only supposed to be a one off sale. After the success of the first pop up, and a rather long list of emails waiting for the next pop up event, mother and daughter set out to continue their success which culminated in an offer to open up a physical store at Toronto’s beloved, Distillery District.

Reminiscent of the arcade stores along Regent Street to the boutique shops in Notting Hill and Spitalfields Market, Queen’s Trunk was birthed and has been at the Distillery since 2015 - a family run, female led business with Jenny and Tracy at the helm. Offering unique gifting ideas, curated from accessories from Canada and the UK, costume jewelry, to inspiration plaques, handmade organic candles, British homewares from cushions to grocery/carry on tote bags and iconic British keepsakes.
